Safeway In 2008, Safeway, Inc., a client of Dennis Bodley’s, engaged Hearn Burkley to determine how to achieve the most value for its 28,000 square foot store in Vienna, Virginia, which no longer fit its prototype. Dennis advised that a sale or long-term lease to a retailer, as opposed to a developer or investor, was the way to achieve the highest value. Dennis’s advice resulted in sale of the property to Walgreen’s for approximately $375 per foot which was one of the highest prices ever received by Safeway for one of its properties. |
