CEO Timothy R. From 2002 – 2008, NAI KLNB Management, led by Timothy R. Hearn and partners, became the leading third party commercial management company in the Baltimore/Washington area, rising from four million square feet to over 10 million square feet under management. It is the largest company of its kind in the area.
In 2008, NAI KLNB Management became known as Hearn Burkley. The company’s success along the I-95 Corridor proved to be an advantage in servicing the needs of investors focusing on developing real estate as a result of the area’s expansion associated with BRAC.
Along with CEO Timothy R. Hearn, the company is joined by John K. Burkley II, a third generation Cecil County real estate veteran and President of the John K. Burkley Company, a company founded by his grandfather in 1949 to specialize in commercial and industrial real estate brokerage and development. The John K. Burkley Company is also one of Cecil County’s largest independent insurance agencies. Louis J. Kousouris III is named President and David Dannenfelser is named Executive Vice President.
In 2009, Hearn Burkley merged with Corridor LLC, one of the Baltimore area’s signature brokerage firms, co-founded by President Robert A. Freedman in 1989. With a portfolio of 5.3 million square feet, Corridor was one of the top-ranked and largest brokerage firms in the region, giving greater depth to Hearn Burkley’s representation of small businesses, large companies, and investors pursuing leasing or ownership opportunities. Among the 7 new team members, Robert A. Freedman joined Hearn Burkley as a Principal and Broker of Record.
