From 2002 – 2008, NAI KLNB Management, led by Timothy R. Hearn and partners, became the leading third party commercial management company in the Baltimore/Washington area, rising from four million square feet to over 10 million square feet under management.
In 2008, NAI KLNB Management became known as Hearn Burkley. The company’s success along the I-95 Corridor proved to be an advantage in servicing the needs of institutional investors of high net worth focused on developing real estate as a result of the Mid-Atlantic’s economic expansion.
CEO Timothy R. Hearn, who has nearly 30 years of commercial real estate experience, is joined by: Louis J. Kousouris III, President and head of the company’s property management group; David A. Dannenfelser, Executive Vice President and a leading broker in this area for over a decade; and John K. Burkley II, a third generation Cecil County real estate veteran and President of the John K. Burkley Company.
In 2009, Hearn Burkley acquired Corridor LLC, one of the Baltimore area’s signature brokerage firms. Corridor was one of the top-ranked and largest brokerage firms in the region, giving greater depth to Hearn Burkley’s representation of small businesses, large companies, and investors pursuing leasing or ownership opportunities. Robert A. Freedman, co-founder and President, joined Hearn Burkley as a Principal and Broker of Record, and brought 10 associates to the company, in addition to over 20 years commercial real estate experience.
Today, Hearn Burkley continues as a successful and unified commercial real estate company delivering positive results and “creating wealth for our clients by managing properties, leasing space and offering expert advice on investments and development” — a company message we focus on every day.
